Welcome
to SHHAS
We
are a small
group of aviation enthusiasts located in the Southampton area. We hold
our meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at the Romsey Working
Men's Conservative Club. Our society
was founded in 1980 by Wing
Cmdr. David Bennett AFRAES. and Leslie
Loader. It is open to anyone
with an interest in
aviation and
although the name
states “Historical” we try to cater for all aspects of
aviation.
Our
activities are mainly concerned with having guest
speakers
at our
monthly meeting talking on any aspects of aviation. We visit RAF
stations, Air Shows and museums etc that have an aviation theme. We
also have a few social functions throughout the year including our own fly-in.
Subscription
is just £12 a year which includes a regular newsletter.
If you are
interested in joining our society you can
download a membership application form here. We
look forward to
seeing you.
