Shares in a new Christavia

This is a new high wing aircraft, beautifully built, with twin spruce spars, and a  spacious two seat tandem cockpit. Engine is an O-200 zero-timed by Deltair with only flight test hours run. It has a three hour duration at 100kts.  Polyfiber covering, in ‘Duck Egg blue’ with reggie letters G-MRED in red.
(’Mr. Ed‘ is the builder).   Based 5 mls north of Winchester.
Flight Test completed, initial Permit received from LAA on 20/03/08.
The first in UK, a number of these machines are flying in the US and in Canada.
The group can be 4 to 6, with three definite members at present.
The aircraft is easy to fly, but ideally joining members should have 100hrs P1 including Tailwheel experience.

With a group of four the share price will be £3750 each, with further costs split four ways - avionics, and a propeller are needed.   A Polytunnel hangar is included in the share price.
While a handheld Icom A3 can be used initially, a Transceiver/ Mode S transponder/ Intercom package will be fitted, cost approx. £2600. The aircraft has a prop loaned for the flight check, and a new replacement is quoted at £550 approx. A GPS can be added when required.

Annual costs ( before division by four ) will be hangarage, presently £720:
Insurance (based on three pilots & one non-pilot crew) is quoted at £1035: and the annual LAA Permit, due in one year. With a new aircraft and zero timed engine we are not going for an ‘engine fund’ but will split any costs between group members.   So the likely fixed annual costs will be in the region of £600 per member for a four member group.

This is a going-places aeroplane. Looks a bit like a Champ but see the February LAA mag which has a short piece on the machine, on page 6.
