SHHAS VISIT TO SHOREHAM & TANGMERE – 24th JUNE 2010

Time: 10:00 Shoreham Airport Visitor Centre, then 13:00-14:00 arrive at Tangmere Museum

Shoreham

The tour will last approx 90 mins and will include the current building, history of Shoreham, Hangars and the Police helicopter (if available)

The airport has a cafeteria which we could have lunch in, or find a local pub between there and Tangmere.

The tour costs £3.50, most have already given a £2 deposit so the balance will be left to pay on the day.

Access to Shoreham Airport via A27 to the north of the airfield. Travelling eastward from the A24/Worthing area, follow directions to Brighton and after roundabout at north Lancing, turn right at traffic lights opposite Lancing College / Sussex Pad pub. BN43 5FF.

Tangmere

Expect to arrive beween 13:00 and 14:00. A 10% discount is given on groups of 10 or more, so we may not qualify at present.

Normal entrance fees are Adults: £7.50, Over 60s: £6.00.

A tour guide should be made available to us for some added history and maybe some stories.

The museum is three miles East of Chichester in West Sussex and south of the A27 where it is clearly signposted. PO20 2ES. There is ample free parking.
