As per pervious years SHHAS were invited to join the Light Aircraft Association fly in and BBQ at Barton Ashes Airstrip. The day was predicted for variable weather, with frequent rain and high winds.

Not a good combination for Barton Ashes small landing strip. However, it turned out to be a pleasant late summer day with just a brief shower or two.

A small number of SHHAS members were in attendance along with families

to join with the members of the local LAA.

Unfortunately during the time of my visit there were only three visiting aircraft. The low attendance was probably due the weather forecast!
